My client is looking for an DV Cleared VMware Engineer to work in Hook, Hampshire

Job Purpose:

To assist in the maintenance and daily operation of multiple Sphere 4 infrastructures. Provide support and daily monitoring to agreed standards and assist in future P2V planning.

Job Specification

Manage the Storage and Virtualisation environments including the following :

* Monitoring host/guest performance and datastore capacity

* Undertake maintenance according to planned schedules

* Leasing with application and storage teams to resolve issues

* Undertake P2V capacity planning and P2V operations

Skills & Qualifications

* Proven Industry Product Experience

* VMware VSphere 4.x

* VMware ESX(i) 3.5/4.x

* VMware Virtual Centre Management Server

* VMware Virtual Infrastructure 3 [Vi3]

* VMware DRS

* VMware VMotion/Storage VMotion

* VMware Site Recovery Manager

* Microsoft Windows 2008 R2/2003

* Microsoft Active Directory

Personal Qualities:

* Must be able to work in a team but also motivated when working on your own

* Keen to learn new technologies and integrate into a dynamic service delivery team

* Well-rounded background and experience in IT

* Excellent organisation and client skills

Professional Experience:

* VMware VCP Certified (minimum VI3, ideally vSphere4)
