Java Developer London to £55k

Java Developer / Full Stack Engineer (Web GUI Swing Java) *Remote Interview WFH*. Scientific software house is seeking a highly technical Java Developer; this is an opportunity to work on complex and interesting systems whilst enjoying perks such as flexible working and a tailor made training and career development path with paid for professional fees and book reimbursements.

The core product is an advanced process simulation, modelling and optimisation software for the process industries (power, biochemical and pharmaceutical), with the current global health crisis they are busier than ever.

Joining an Agile development team as a Java Developer you will focus on building a new web based system in line with the current desktop application with a focus on the GUI / front end. You'll use multi-threaded Java and Swing within a microservices environment with Docker and Kubernetes used for containerisation.

Based in West London you'll be joining a diverse, supportive, international team.

Driven by technology this company is able to offer a remote interview and onboarding process during the current social distancing measures.

Requirements:

Core Java development experience

Ideally you will have experience of working on complex display user interfaces

Technologist, keen to learn and work with modern tools in a microservices / DevOps environment; any experience with Docker, Kubernetes advantageous

Collaborative with good communication skills

Nice to have: Swing
