The role will involve working in conjunction with architects, product owners, systems engineers and other business stakeholders to deliver assigned project tasksWe're looking for an experienced Architect to help implement designs to ensure security, scalability and robustness of all created service, as well as advise on scope, interfaces and estimate project development effort. Collaborating with with other engineers across the organisation, you'll provide consistent and novel ways of working, design patterns and cross-team working. This role will be working across two key large-scale programmes for MoD / Government customers where you'll work with a wide range of Cloud technologies and be involved in security projects within the Cloud space.Essential CriteriaExperience as an Architect for cloud infrastructure or cloud-hosted softwareUnderstanding and experience of emerging cloud services and data architecturesExperience in working in an agile software development environmentUse of DevOps CI/CD practicesKnowledge of AWS or AzureKnowledge of architecture, development and operation of critical systems within a DevOps environmentAnalytical and root cause analysis skillsDesirableAWS or Azure certificationPrevious experience with MOD, agency and customers with sensitive informationExperience working with a number of agile workflow tools including: JIRA, Confluence, AgileGood use and understanding of tooling such as Git, Jenkins, Terraform, CloudFormationExperience at working with agile at scale using frameworks such as SAFe or LeSSAdditional BenefitsOur client are open to applications from candidates across the UK as some work can be done from home and other office locations (due to the sensitivity of the projects).
