DV CLEARANCE REQUIRED, INSIDE IR35, FUNCTIONAL TEST LEADDUE TO THE NATURE OF THIS ROLE YOU MUST HOLD A CURRENT AND VALID DV SECURITY CLEARANCE My client, a leader in the criminal justice sector, is seeking a Functional Test Lead to work from it's London based offices.Job SummaryThere is a requirement for an experienced and security-cleared Functional Test Lead to work within the ICT Test Team. This is an essential role providing testing services and assuring the delivery of new (and upgrades to existing) business-critical IT systems.The IT Functional Test Lead will work alongside members of the ICT Test Team, Business Analysts, and Project Managers, Technical, Solution and Enterprise Architects, and other important stakeholders, to deliver a robust and rigorous testing service to assure the successful integration and deployment of both in-house and third-party delivered software components.Key TasksThe post holder will be required to do the following:Work alongside solution suppliers (both third-party and in-house) to ensure the implementation of approved Test Plans;Produce required test artefacts (incl. Test Plans, Test Cases, Test Scripts, and Reports);Working with SMEs, Business Analysts and other stakeholders to elicit detailed test requirements and acceptance criteria;Oversee defect management process;Performing regression testing;Performing exploratory testing;Support test planning and reporting activities;Assist facilitation of User Acceptance Testing (where appropriate).The role-holder must be capable of working with minimal direction to fulfil all requirements of this position.Experience - Essential Experience of undertaking testing across multiple IT delivery projects;Experience of working on both Agile and Waterfall delivery projects;Experience of implementing Test Strategies and Plans;Experience of managing third-party suppliers;Experience in functional test execution and reporting;Experience with test management and defect tracking tools (e.g. JIRA);Experience in testing web based applications, front-end and back-end;Experience in the creation of test data;Experience in integration testing of COTS products;Experience in defect management and tracking;Excellent written and spoken English;Ability to work under pressure and to turn-round material changes to meet tight deadlines;High level of competency in Microsoft Office applications;Experience of working in a secure HM Government / Police / CT / DE environment;The ability to deal with confidential and sensitive information up to SECRET, but occasionally higher;Holds ISEB/ISTQB certification (e.g. Test Manager, Test Analyst or Agile Tester);Familiarity of common DevOps practices (e.g. CI/CD pipelines);Familiarity of Agile development and collaboration tools;Experience of test automation tools (e.g. Selenium);Experience of performance testing tools (e.g. J-Meter);Experience of data migration testing;Must hold a valid and current DV clearance.
