SOR Outputs:

A stakeholder and communications SME resource is required to support the stakeholder and communication activities and events within and for the Authority to achieve the DC3I capability and in support of the following

* The management of the DSA project to Initial Gate Out letter

* The management of the Assessment Phase strategy/planning

* The management of the DSA Technical Work Package

Role Description

The Stakeholder and Communications Manager will be responsible to the DSA Project Manager and will be responsible for the day-to-day management of stakeholder engagement and communications, ensuring that all stakeholders are kept informed of key events and activities and communication is consistent across board. The responsibilities will include but not limited to management and delivery of relevant project, stakeholder and communications outputs, assisting with the planning and coordination of stakeholder events and activities such as Industry Days, support project team members in the management of the stakeholder management and communications element of the project, ensuring consistency across projects, the development of effective ways to manage and communicate with stakeholders

Essential skills, knowledge, capabilities etc

* Knowledge and experience of public sector engagements

* Excellent leadership, communication and presentation skills

* Liaising with senior stakeholders, communicating and implementing strategy through inspirational and proactive leaders

* Capable of conducting scoping activities, strategic planning and support new ways of working.

* Enthusiastic, proactive, astute, multi-tasker and willing to assist in all activities to get the job done.

* Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

* Evidence of working collaboratively as a member of a team and building strong relationships with colleagues in other disciplines as well as industry

* Knowledge and experience of Office 365 products

* Experience of event planning

Desirable skills, knowledge, capabilities etc

* Certification in a Project Management Methodology or Framework (PRINCE2, MSP, Agile etc)

* Evidence of successful management and delivery of complex projects within the MOD

The ideal candidate will have some experience of creating, drafting and publication communication messages using different channels
