Role Overview We are seeking a number of Test Analysts to support the staged testing and subsequent customer acceptance of a large and complex system of systems rollout in the defence domain. The role is responsible for day to day testing duties and reports to the Test Lead. The successful candidate is expected to support the verification of requirements, write and execute test cases. The Test Analyst will be responsible for executing against the established ITEA strategy and plans, whilst producing and reviewing of system and subsystem test scripts. Your Key responsibilities:Produces accurate test cases that address clearly defined requirementsProduces test cases with an appropriate level of technical detail for the target audience responsible for test execution.Good familiarity with testing tools.Uses risk to identify where more or less testing is required based on testing outcomes.Produces clear and unambiguous test plans that address project requirements and risks and contribute to test strategy.Effectively communicates the testing strategy and plans throughout the project & customer teams.Successfully delivers all testing activities in the test plans within forecast and timescale constraints.Your Skills:Knowledge of tools and processes used for IV&V of complex IT systemsDemonstrable experience in executing test cases at customer acceptance eventsExperience of the integration and testing of large, complex and secure systems using phased testing to include acceptance of deliverables from internal teams and subcontractorsExperienced verifying test plans and scripts from these deliverable subsystems adequately satisfy the compliance with flowed down requirementsKnowledge of test plans for Systems and Acceptance testing and subsequently mapping the relevant requirements to test scripts / scenarios for customer acceptanceExperience at tracking and reporting progress against the schedule of the test and acceptance deliverables and testing activitiesExperience in the defect management process on a large multi-system and multi-team project to ensure timely and prioritised fixes are received and all stakeholders are informed of statusSolid background in software and system of systems integration and testingGood experience of software and systems engineering principles gained on large, complex and secure systems
