If so, then see below… Project Manager HV Systems Installation Midlands Circa £40k + Car + Package Huxley Engineering and a Global Electrical Power Installation Client are recruiting for a Staff Project Manager to work in the Midlands area (for their installation projects in Bristol & Stoke), due to major HV Systems Installation projects in 2020 - 2021. Reporting to the Area Manager, the Project Manager will be responsible for supervising a range of installation activities on installation projects and maintenance services throughout the UK and the Project Manager's main duties are:Ensuring that all work is carried out safely, competently & effectively achieving scope, programmeand budget.Identifying and promoting commercial opportunities.Actively monitoring civil engineering activities and installation staff allocated to the site inorder to efficiently complete projects.Reviewing and monitoring projects using MS Project.Liaison between head office, customer, sub-contractors and site-based employees.Ensuring compliance to safety, environmental, quality and security procedures.Promote a culture of safety, quality and environmental best practice at all times by means of effective communication andsite audits.Requisition and control project materials.Liaise internally and externally to ensure all targets and key milestones are met and ensure all worksare carried out to company procedure. Qualification & Experience Required for the Project Manager Ideally possess HND or Degree in a relevant engineering discipline and/or relevant project management experience in HV Systems InstallationsSeveral years' experience within a construction, HV Installation, Utilities and/or Electricity industry type environment with a good understanding of HV cable systems and construction/civil engineering matters.Ideally posses WPD / West Power Distribution accreditation (or similar) - Not mandatoryProven people management skills and an ability to work unsupervised.Ability to prioritise workload to meet deadlines. NB - A driving licence is essential and the Project Manager must be flexible to be site-based 5 days a week in Bristol or Stoke. For the successful Project Manager, a salary circa £40,000 + Car + Benefits package is on offer and the Project Manager will ideally based in the Midlands area (Birmingham, Gloucester, Stoke, Wolverhampton, Coventry, Oxford, Walsall, Warwick, Worcester & Kidderminster) re Bristol & Stoke site installations, though we would welcome applications from Project Managers further afield with relevant project management experience.
