I have a contract requirement for an iOS Developer for my client - a leading tech research company - in Belgium. They have a project to develop an Iterative (Agile) prototype(s) of an iOS application for blind and reduced-vision users to help them with navigation and street crossings while walking. You will take a leading role in the implementation of the prototype app in collaboration with their team of mobility experts and a (junior) software engineer/researcher. You will take ownership of the technical implementation of the software, work transparently and document code, allowing others to contribute and learn. Required knowledge and skillsiOS app development using Swift (and optionally Objective-C), min. 2 years experienceKeen attention & interest for usability and accessibility aspectsFamiliarity with Scrum/Agile processKnowledge of CI/CD, JavaScript/TypeScript, node.js, React.js are a plusStrong communication skills (English, Dutch is an optional plus)Willing to share knowledge and train others. Duration of the assignment3 months, extension possibleDesired start date and work regimeStart date : mid / late JuneWork structure: during the first month of the assignment, 24 hours/week, moving to full-time in the 2nd or 3rd month of the assignment.Primary office location will be GhentThe project can be delivered remotely, with visits to the offices in Ghent and Antwerp.If you are interested and available , please send your CV to Matt Andrews at IC Creative
