Firewall Engineer - SC or NATO Secret

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

* Capable of bringing together knowledge from multiple sources and consolidating into an end-to-end solution.

* A proactive approach to workload completion.

* Deploying security products (Firewalls, IDS/IPS devices, Stealthwatch, FirePOWER, Cisco ISE, ForeScout CounterACT, etc.).

* Ensure systems are compliant within required security standards

* Develop and maintain O&M Standard Operating Procedures for developed capabilities

* Develop and implement testing strategies and document results.

* Diagnoses and troubleshoots problems with the environment including Microsoft and Linux O/S

* Supports security planning; assessment; risk analysis; and risk management

* Integrate with BMC based enterprise management tools

* Work directly with Vendor and Engineering on improvements of the project's solutions

* Generate solutions to complex problems which integrate into the program environment

* Identify issues and create improvement processes to help with the reduction of incident outage times

* Performs system or network designs that encompass multiple enclaves; to include those with differing data protection/classification requirements

Essential Experience includes:

* Experience in designing or supporting network solutions in a regulated industry or large organization.

* The ability to effectively communicate and explain complex solutions.

* Experience in participating in international teams.

* Thorough knowledge of the TCP/IP protocol Suite, VLSM, IP address allocation.

* Detailed understanding of products from vendors such as Palo Alto, Cisco, Juniper, F5 and Fortinet.

* Experience in Software Defined Network implementation (Optional)Experience tuning for performance and high availability
