A Central London based company responsible for providing IT and Digital services to the Government are seeking a Senior Software Developer to join their team, offering a salary of £50,000 - £75,000 with flexible working hours around the core hours of 10.00 - 16.00 and the potential to be home based. The remit and responsibilities of the role are broad and include providing general IT support, managing the networks, developing specialist applications, programme and project management, developing and maintaining websites and managing social media channels. As a Senior Software Developer you will:Report to the Head of Development, responsible for the delivery and integration of software development solutions, ensuring products and services are developed to a high standard and meet the requirements of stakeholders and customers.Set strategy and manage resource allocation for software development programmes and projects, working closely with other functions to establish business requirements.Lead and work as part of multi-disciplined teams working on a broad range of development projects (web, apps, website, internal systems).Identify skills gaps in the team and providing ongoing coaching and training, acting as a mentor or coach for less experienced developers.
We are looking for a Senior Software Developer with:
Open on industry/sector background - currently have people in the team who’ve moved from other government departments and from private sector (ranging from small start-ups to blue-chip organisations)Excellent communication skills with the ability to present complex information clearly and effectively.Strong interpersonal skills, able to develop relationships with and influence/persuade colleagues at all levels.Collaborative approach with strong teambuilding and able to lead, motivate and develop a large, diverse team.Knowledge and experience of C#, .Net Core, SQL Server, ASP.NET, Azure, HTML, CSS and JavaScript.Experience of leading Diversity & Inclusion initiatives would be an advantage.
