C++ Developer / Backend Software Engineer Cambridge to £65k

C++ Developer / Backend Software Engineer (C++ Linux DSP Audio). Scale-up technology company is seeking a skilled Software Engineer to design and develop for the core product a complex mathematically based algorithmic software that can be used on a range of devices to process audio, such as IoT home devices, smart speakers, hearing aids and more.

As a C++ Developer / Backend Software Engineer you will architect, design and develop the core API which is in embedded in the customers' product; you'll work across the full development lifecycle including creating and maintaining test suites and build delivery systems.

The company has received significant funding and has signed a deal with a major electronics manufacturer; this is an excellent opportunity to join as they scale, learn and collaborate with a team of highly talented software engineers to bring a unique product to market.

You'll be based in modern offices near Cambridge City centre with a quiet, relaxed working environment and core hours of 1000 to 1600; driven by technology the company can offer a remote interview and onboarding process during the current social distancing measures.

Requirements:

Strong C++ development experience including multi-threading / multi-processor experience

Python experience

Good knowledge of Linux OS

Experience with DSP (Digital Signal Processing) or Audio

Ideally you will have some experience with git, GitHub, CMake, CTest, Jenkins, Confluence

Collaborative with good communication skills
