Principal Java Developer London to £100k
Principal Java Developer / Architect (Java SpringBoot microservices) **Remote Process WFH**. Are you a senior Java technologist looking for a role where you can remain hands-on, set the technical direction and technically lead a small team? You could be joining a scientific software house and progressing your career as a Principal Java Developer; the core product is an advanced process simulation, modelling and optimisation software for the process industries (power, biochemical and pharmaceutical).
As a Principal Java Developer you will take ownership of building a new web based system in line with the current desktop application; you'll be responsible for the architecture and design of this new Java, SpringBoot, microservices based system. You'll set the technical direction and collaborate closely with software engineers to lead the development and implementation.
Based in West London you'll be collaborating with a diverse international team.
Driven by technology the company is able to offer a remote interview / onboarding process and work from home during the current social distancing measures.
Requirements:
Indepth Java architecture, design and development experience ideally including multi-threading
Experience with Spring framework including SpringBoot for microservices
Good knowledge of Cloud based systems (AWS preferred)
Experience with Docker, Kubernetes, DevOps advantageous
Collaborative with good communication skills
Degree educated in a Scientific /Computer Science discipline
