A local authority currently requires a Project Manager with experience of upgrading WAN services and delivering Telephony projects, ideally within local authority or public sector enviroments. This role will be paying up to £460 per day via Umbrella and will be an initial 3 month contract.What is RequiredExperience of managing infrastructure projects including delivery of new and upgraded WAN services to multiple locations - knowledge of leased line, IPVPN, Fibre, ADSL a strong advantageHas delivered WAN upgrades in partnership with leased line providers - experience of working with telecommunications 3rd partiesHas experience of delivering network upgrade projects across multiple customer sites - experience of multiple technology vendorsDelivered IP Voice upgrade projects - successfully migrated and upgraded clients to new voice solutionsDelivery of modern workplace IM and presence collaboration toolsHas managed and led technical resources and co-ordinated and created project work packagesKnowledge of delivering Avaya IP Phone solutions - ideally Avaya WorkplaceKnowledge of experience of delivering multi-site Network upgrades utilising Cisco technologies - Switching and routing migrationsData centre migration projectsKnowledge of security and FW appliancesMust have Project Management skills:End to end project delivery experience - full lifecycle managementDemonstrable experience working in an IT environment and experience of managing infrastructure projectsDefine project scope, goals and deliverablesPrince2 certified or holds an equivalent project management qualificationAgile and waterfall delivery methodology experienceFull project budget ownership - can manage project spend and provide full financial forecastExperience of effective Risk and Issue Management - can demonstrate through examples of producing and managing RAID logsCan lead project activities by coordinating others to undertake the work, as well as contributing to the delivery of tasks, when relevant and appropriateIf you have the experience to carry out this role, then please do apply using your most up to date profile.
