A manufacturing leading technology protection who relays medium voltage circuit breakers often for highly critical electrical power systems across a global client base are seeking an Embedded Development Engineer to join their team in Manchester offering a salary of £40,000 - £50,000.  As an Embedded Development Engineer you will:
Contribute to the full lifecycle development of industrial products based upon embedded microcontroller and DSP platforms. The ideal Embedded Development Engineer will have the following:
Degree in Electronic Engineering / Computer Science (or similar) with a good. understanding of embedded software systems including both analogue and digital electronics.Highly proficient in C/C++ and Assembly programming languages.Embedded software development experience with bare-metal programming.Experience with software versioning and revision control.EMC/EMI awareness. Preferred:
Knowledge of ARM9/ARM-Cortex and DSP architecturesExperience of embedded LinuxKnowledge/experience of industrial communication protocols and standards (MODBUS, IEC 61850, IEC60870-5, DNP 3.0, Profibus etc.)Project ManagementIEC 61508 implementation for safety critical systemsRTOS programming experienceGUI programming experience in C/C++ This position would suit an experienced embedded software engineer who wishes to work on leading edge products and technology.You will be working 37.5 hours per week for a long established and growing company that can offer the right candidate good personal and career development with 25 days holiday and a pension scheme.  If this sounds like the Embedded Development Engineer role for you click apply now!
