Foundry Platform (Palantir) production support vacancy for our Zurich based client in the technological sector.Your experience/skills:Extensive experience of Linux and Unix Administration and bash scriptingSolid knowledge of Cloudera Hadoop components such as HDFS, Sentry, HBase, Impala, Hue, Spark, Hive, YARN, ZooKeeper and Postgres In-depth knowledge of non-root installation with fully integrated AD/Kerberos authenticationComfort with large scale production systems and technologies like load balancing, monitoring, distributed systems as well as incident, change and configuration managementLanguages: English, fluent in written and spokenYour tasks:Working with data delivery teams to setup new Hadoop clusters as well as cluster maintenance and creation and removal of nodes using tools like Cloudera Manager EnterpriseMonitoring Hadoop cluster connectivity and security, followed by managing Troubleshooting and reviewing Hadoop log filesSetting up disaster recovery on Cloudera cluster including HDFS, HBase, Spark coupled with workload management, load balancing, quota management of the Cloudera clusterTeaming with the infrastructure, network, database, application and business intelligence teams to guarantee high data quality and availabilityCollaborating with application teams to install Hadoop updates, patches and aligning with the engineering team to propose and deploy new hardware and software environments required for Hadoop Start: ASAP
