Service Desk, 2nd Line support, Windows, O365, VMware, Senior Service Desk Analyst (2nd line)

Reporting to the Support Lead, you will assist in providing second line technical support to our Managed Service customers. The successful candidate will require an aptitude for performing within the Serviced desk, to undertake analysis, diagnosis and resolution of problems.

The day to day responsibilities will includeTaking ownership of incidents which cannot be solved immediately with the means of 1st-L Support.Supporting Customer environments of Desktops and Servers (i.e. Windows and Linux)Work to customer agreed SLA's, delivering quick resolution and providing a high level of customer service.If no ad-hoc solution can be achieved, you will transfer the Incident to 3rd-Lev Support with full details updated on the systemLiaising with clients throughout the lifecycle of the service ticket.Prioritise and manage multiple tickets.Ensure that any technical issues on a service ticket are escalated efficiently.Behaviours and Attitudes requiredStrong communication skills (both written and verbal) with the ability to establish long lasting rapport.Strong problem solving and trouble shooting skills.Excellent time management, organisational, attention to detail and the ability to meet to deadlines.Self-motivated with a can do attitudeReliable and punctual.

Essential:Ideally having worked in a Managed Service Provider environment or a very busy service deskStrong knowledge of Microsoft based operating systems with emphasis on Windows 10/Office 2010 and Outlook 2013/Exchange/Office 365Windows Server 2008/2012/2016Active Directory and Group Policy,Basic VMware support skills2 years + working on an IT serviced desk or in a technical environmentProven technical backgroundAn understanding of ITIL FrameworkMCSA in Server or working towards MCSADesirableLinux SkillsCitrixITIL certifiedVeeam or something similar eg: Symantec etc
