Active Cyber Defence

This role requires a strong understanding of Active Cyber Defence, email security protocols and complex government environments. We are seeking an individual who is outcome focused and understands end-to-end delivery. They must be an excellent communicator and able to liaise with technical and non-technical audiences, whilst also being able to work closely and collaboratively with these audiences, to obtain complete buy-in and influence their actions.

The particular skills we are looking for are summarised below:

*Business Analyst and data crunching skills; we have a lot of data across different streams, in different forms and from different organisations which we need to collate and condense.

*Numerical analysis; ability to work with the current data to underpin and form strategy.

*Strong understanding of NCSC Active Cyber Defence services and their role in the delivery of Cyber protection, primarily focused around Mail Check/DMARC, but extending to the wider ACD service catalogue.

*Ability to review and understand Government adoption/configuration of baseline Cyber security controls.

*Good understanding of SMTP, DNS and email security (DMARC, SPF & DKIM).

*Demonstrable experience or knowledge of how to implement Email, Web and DNS security controls

*Understand how DNS hierarchies work and configuration

*Able to deal with complex environments, and complex stakeholders

*Ability to influence, gaining stakeholder commitment from both a technical and a leadership perspective.

*Able to understand the business context; the role is more about facilitation rather than implementing technical change
