This is a new position within a well-funded company that is currently building up a new team to start working on the next phase of their cutting edge technology within the satellite communications industry. This represents a very unique opportunity for an experienced RF IC Design Engineer Manager or Principal/Technical Lead to move into a technical management position and have responsibility of building up a team. As an RF IC Design Manager you will be responsible for providing RF IC wireless solutions for high frequency designs up to 30Ghz and driving them to mass production. You will be involved in hands on design and will be working alongside experienced engineers to conceive and design innovative product solutions. Responsibilities include:Drive and enhance RFIC design methodology to achieve first-pass silicon successWork with the product and engineering teams to determine RFIC requirementsLead architectural definition, design, simulation, layoutWork with cross-functional teams including wireless design and Software to define radio features enabling wireless innovationThe successful applicant will have a minimum of 10 years RF IC Design experience with a proven track record of taking products from specification to mass production. A deep understanding of RF CMOS fundamentals and building blocks including LNAs, mixers, VCOs and DCOs, LO and PAs are required along with an understanding of RF device modeling. Experience with mm-wave layout techniques and optimisation is ideal and familiarity with various RF transceiver architectures and their trade-offs is highly desired.
