Senior Desktop Support Engineer London to £70k
Senior Desktop Support Engineer (Helpdesk Microsoft Windows 10) *Remote Interview WFH*. Are you a highly skilled Senior Desktop Support Engineer with experience of supporting users within a financial environment? You could be joining a global Investment Management company, continually learning and progressing your career.
As a Senior Desktop Support Engineer you will provide both onsite and remote support to a global user base of around 450 users, with a focus on the UK. You'll manage raised requests and incidents using internal request runbooks / knowledge based and incident management and partner with 2nd / 3rd line teams as well as external vendors to help troubleshoot more complex incidents. You'll be responsible for alert management and seek to pro-actively resolve failure alerts, degraded services and unavailable services via monitoring tools. Continually seeking improvement you will endeavour to automate common tasks to increase efficiency and productivity.
You'll be joining a hugely talented team in London with 360 views of the City and work closely with counterparts in Paris, Singapore and Montreal. You will learn and develop your technology skills and business knowledge with opportunities to progress your career into leadership.
Please note: there is an on-call requirement, overnight once every 6 weeks and occasionally the need to work at weekends.

Requirements:
Experience as a Desktop Support Engineer (or similar Technical Support role) within a finance / trading environment
Strong knowledge and experience in a Microsoft environment supporting Windows 10, Windows Server 2012+, Office Suite including Outlook, Office 365 and Azure, including OneDrive, DLP and SharePoint
Experience with Active Directory, Group Policy, remote access solutions and software deployment
Experience installing, troubleshooting and managing desktop hardware
Advanced customer service and communication skills, comfortable dealing with senior stakeholders
Aptitude and ability to learn, keen to keep up to date with new and emerging technologies
Willing and able to cover on-call requirements throughout the night every 6 weeks and work ad-hoc weekends
