Project Manager - Central Government Reed Professional Services (RPS) has engaged with one of the key Central Government departments to work on a large and complex internal infrastructure project. In order to further compliment the team delivering these programmes, RPS have an exciting opportunity for a Project Manager to join our team of experts based in Croydon to facilitate the successful PPM delivery and support. Who will you be working for? RPS provide project delivery and tailored PMO services, helping our customer's projects go from concept to completion. Our project delivery services are custom tailored to meet individual needs, whilst drawing on broad market experience and proven methodology from a variety of sectors including Media, Banking and Central Government. What will you be doing? As a Project Manager under RPS's Team, the role will be focused on working on my clients Networks and Infrastructure Capability Programme and Reed Professional Services (RPS) have been tasked to offer support, guidance and aid the delivery of a number of crucial changes currently being considered and implemented across the organisation. The Project Manager will be parachuted into one of the exports projects as directed by the team to troubleshoot project issues and someone who can take the ownership of the delivery of the projects. Skills required for this role are below, please have the following with regards to: Experience: Demonstrable success in similar roles completing end to end high level project delivery focus within Central Government environment. Skills: Able to produce concise status reports, plans and RAID logs and Robust Delivery. Prior experience with project management of NICP procurements to ensure delivery to time, cost and quality. PRINCE2 and MSP or equivalent project management qualification. Worked in a complex organisation including working directly with a variety and range of non-technical stakeholders. Previously managed the installation of network build LAN/WAN activities.Characteristics: There's frequent internal and external stakeholder management as well as procurement and tender management involved, so you should be a compelling and considered influencer, with a consultative and approachable demeanour that will enable your team to deliver to the best of its ability. Valid SC Clearance must be held. The role will be based in Croydon, full time, with some travel to clients sites across the UK.
