Excellent opportunity for an experience for an Engineer with Power Electronics Product Design experience to join an industry leading global company in a highly varied and interesting position.

Through this period a lot of companies are struggling, however this company are going through a positive growth period and through increased stability and work load they are looking to add an engineer with experience of concept power electronics design to their busy team.

In this role you will lead a multi skilled power electronics design team in the technical execution of a range of projects.

The ideal candidate will have knowledge of power electronics design, analogue and systems engineering, digital electronics, system simulation, thermal design and specification of electromagnetic assemblies. Have experience of rail power products requirements, testing and qualification. Be able to demonstrate experience in the design and test of Power Electronic Converters (AC:DC, DC:DC, DC:AC) and/or Motor Drives. And be able to demonstrate experience in using simulation tools including Matlab/Simulink.

The person: * Experience of rail power products requirements, testing and qualification. * Demonstrable experience in the design and test of Power Electronic Converters (AC:DC, DC:DC, DC:AC) and/or Motor Drives. * Be able to demonstrate experience in using simulation tools including Matlab/Simulink. * Knowledge of power electronics design, analogue and systems engineering, digital electronics, system simulation, thermal design and specification of electromagnetic assemblies. * Knowledge of EMC standards and mitigation through design. * Degree qualified in Electronic Engineering or similar
