We have been asked to aid with raising the level of Project and Programme Management expertise within the organisations of the UK Government. Our broad remit means we Reed Professional Services within our Central Government Work Packages play a major role in people's day-to-day life.Who will you be working for?RPS provide project delivery and tailored PMO services, helping our customer's projects go from concept to completion. Our project and programme delivery services are custom tailored to meet individual needs, whilst drawing on broad market experience and proven methodology from a variety of sectors including Media, Banking and Central Government. What will you be doing? As a core member of RPS's Project Management Team, as the Senior Programme manager you will be focused on the ability to cope with a fast-moving environment where scope and objectives are changing and developing rapidly. You will be experienced in leading and driving teams to deliver results and experienced in developing structure, identifying strands and meeting targets whilst providing consultancy to ensure that delivery considerations are taken into account whilst shaping policy.Skills required for this role are below, please have the following with regards to:Experience: Experience of managing business transformation, ideally on a consultancy basis with prior experience in working with Central Government Functions, Demonstrable experience as a Programme Manager working for a large complex organisation.Skills: Demonstrable experience of carrying out initial assessment and reviewing the existing project artefacts.Characteristics: There's frequent internal and external stakeholder management involved, so you should be a compelling and considered influencer, with a consultative and approachable demeanour that will enable your team to deliver to the best of its ability.
