Core Fibre / Fibre Backbone Field Engineers - LondonThis dynamic and growing network services provider are seeking professional, career minded and focused Fibre Core / Backbone Field Engineers asap.Cable Pulling, Cable Installations, Fibre Nodes and Fibre Types, FTTP/ FTTC projects, interpreting company designs as per internal governance, Fibre Bundles allocation to Fibre Chambers, understanding area surveys and risk assessments, receiving fibre splicing work orders from the planning team and performing tasks in line with internal KPIs.London Based£32,500pa rising to £35,000pa on completion of probation + £2,000pa Bonus + Excellent Benefits PackageTeams of 2 will Vehicle Share 1 x Electric VanPlease Note: Security Clearance, a DBS Check and Financial Vetting is performed as part of the onboarding process!Based in Central London, you will be working as part of a Team Installing Core Fibre Network Infrastructures.This scope of the role means you will be used to challenging work. This is a high tempo role, and physically demanding role and the client will only consider candidates with proven "in the field" experience i.e. Candidates who have extensive and specific experience of Core / Backbone installs to Fibre Chambers as well Cable Pulling, Roping and Fibre Splicing. The key role responsibilities will involve:Interpreting company designs as per internal governance.Carrying out area surveys and risk assessmentsProducing method statements.Meet with clients to resolve any issues.Receiving fibre splicing work orders from the planning team and performing tasks in line with internal KPIs Pre-Application - You will require: Extensive experience working on FTTP / FTTC projectsExcellent knowledge of Fibre Nodes and Fibre TypesExperience of Installing Fibre Bundles and allocation to Fibre ChambersExperience in PIA (Physical Infrastructure Access) of the BT NetworkAbility to interpret SLD Telecom construction blueprintsUnderstanding routing of fibre mapping from a PON and a point to point network and active ethernet technologiesStrong multitasking & problem-solving abilities.Excellent communication, customer service and interpersonal skills, via phone, or face to face.Strong planning, organising and prioritising skills Previous experience operating iOLM and OTDRRodding (ideally Cobra) and Roping Experience in fibre splicing (ideally fusion)CSCS CardHealth & SafetyNRSWA / Streetworks CertificateMicrosoft Word and ExcelFull UK driving licenseFlexibility to work across LondonTo be successful you will be able to undertake SC, DBS and Financial VettingYou will offer:A flexible, personable and tenacious approach with a focus on delivery You must be able to work independently and within a teamYou must have advanced skills in being able to prioritise your workloadTake this opportunity to rise above your peers and secure a role to elevate your career.
