Salary: up to £47000 (dependent on industry experience)

Permanent Opportunity. Purpose of the role:

Putting data and analytics at the heart of how they deliver their services, you will be working within a team responsible for delivering Digital Excellence, assisting in development of solutions to make that possible. Working with some of the latest technologies to transform data from transactional database, allowing analysis to take place from a central data repository.

As a core member, some key responsibilities:

Design and develop database architecturesPerformance tuning databases and scripting used in the analytical solutionUtilise a variety of database tools to write complex queriesDesign and develop strategies for data quality checks and data cleansingMake data available for analysis by using the most appropriate methodLiaise with stakeholders at all levels ensuring their data needs are metCommunicate with regional teams to ensure changes with shared database schemas are reflected in the analytical datasetsProduce reports as directed for consumption by the Senior Leadership TeamDeliver innovative solutions to organisational problems and prioritiesProduce documentation in support of the data sets

Knowledge/Education

Educated to degree level in Applied Mathematics or Computer Science, or equivalent workexperienceUnderstanding of cloud, on premise and hybrid architecturesProven industry experience of developing data driven solutions using cloud technologies.The ability to optimise data bases through indexing and performance tuningA strong knowledge of utilising and identifying appropriate data architectures (data lake, datawarehouse and data mart).Industry experience of working with leading cloud solutions (e.g.AWS or Azure)Awareness of different methodologies for data storage design Desirable:Microsoft SQL Server QualificationsMicrosoft Azure Qualifications (e.g. Microsoft Certified Azure Data Engineer Associate)Oracle Database QualificationsBig Data experienceExperience of latest cloud database technologiesKnowledge of ITILHands on experience of Power BIExperience of producing high quality briefings and reports for senior officers and/or staff My client wishes to appoint as soon as possible - can't wait to apply or would like further information apply today or feel free to call me on 0121 237 5559.
