Base of c. £45k - £60k DOE + bens.

We have been retained by a niche investment capital fund company to hire an IT generalist to help support the IT environment and work with / direct a third party IT services provider.

Presently our client has no internal IT function and the IT environment (Servers, desktops, applications etc) that support a user base of c. 30 individuals is provided by a third party IT services company.

This is an exciting opportunity that will allow a hands-on IT Support Engineer to transition into managing the IT function within a profitable niche financial institution.

Having hands-on technical ability covering IT infrastructure support, network support, IT applications support, and IT Security is critical for this role.

Duties:

Management of IT Services

Assess the IT requirements of the business and users.

Ensure robustness of IT services

Working with the MSP, ensure IT Security / network security

Information Systems planning

Vendor management

Disaster recovery planning

IT process improvement

Upgrade planning

Systems migration

In-sourcing initiatives

Technical Environment:

Microsoft Windows / Wintel

Win10 - Office 365

The ideal candidate may have experience managing IT services for a relatively small user base but one that is business critical within a city financial services sector.

This role is likely to suit a versatile individual who may have held job titles such as: Senior IT Support Analyst, hands-on IT Manager, Lead IT Support Engineer.
