This is an exciting opportunity to use your experience of IT infrastructure and System Design to play a key role in the development of the technology that underpins the IT infrastructure of the Competition and Markets Authority (CMA).
The CMA is the UK's primary competition and consumer authority, making markets work well in the interests of consumers, businesses, and the economy. Our work makes a difference to people's lives, and we rely on an outstanding IT infrastructure service to continue to work effectively on competition cases for the public good. To ensure this continues and improve business efficiency, you will undertake responsibilities associated with the design, development and maintenance of the Cloud and on-premise IT infrastructure and services.
The CMA invests in the latest technology and you will be expected to lead on the design, implementation, maintenance, support and proactive monitoring of the CMA server and storage infrastructure. Working in a team of infrastructure specialists and engineers, you will be responsible for the creation and maintenance of our technology, ensuring services are integrated, delivered and operated as required. Your key responsibilities will include:
You will need experience of designing, implementing, testing, administering and supporting infrastructure technologies, solutions and services, particularly Cloud based, including computing, storage, networking and infrastructure solutions in the Cloud. Experience in information security with a strong focus on Cloud security is also essential.
