Role: AWS / Cloud EngineerLocation: Malvern / Remote workDuration: 6 month initial contractRate: up to £450/day (Umbrella)Security Clearance: SC Cleared My client are looking for an experience AWS / Cloud Engineer to join their team for an initial 6 months contract. Offices are based in Malvern but the role can be performed remotely. Job description/Person specification:Responsible for the technical design, implementation and operations of public cloud environmentsAdvising and shaping technical best practicesWorking in conjunction with architects, product owners, systems engineers and other business stakeholders to deliver assigned project tasks.Implementing designs to ensure security, scalability and robustness of all created servicesAdvising on scope, interfaces and estimate project development effortWorking with other engineers to provide consistent and novel ways of working, design patterns and cross-team working

Position Requirements: Experience as an engineer for cloud infrastructure or cloud-hosted softwareUnderstanding and experience of emerging cloud services and data architecturesExperience in working in an agile software development environmentUse of DevOps CI/CD practices

Desirable

* Previous experience with MOD, agency and customers with sensitive information

* Experience working with a number of agile workflow tools including: JIRA, Confluence, Agile

* Good use and understanding of tooling such as Git, Jenkins, Terraform, CloudFormation

* Experience at working with agile at scale using frameworks such as SAFe or LeSS Knowledge, Skills and Experience Required

* Strong experience of developing and operating cloud environments

* Experience using DevOps technologies

* Holds associate or professional cloud certifications

* Good knowledge of AWS infrastructure, IaaS, continuous integration and development pipeline and any relevant automation tools

* Knowledge of architecture, development and operation of critical systems within a DevOps environment
