About the business

Leading life insurance business seeking nearly/ newly qualified actuary to join their Reinsurance & Structuring Team within Bulk Annuities as a Reinsurance Manager. Leading life insurer with international presence experiencing continued market growth within bulk annuities. As a key player within the bulk annuities space, this insurance business is looking to bring in a strong technical actuary as a Reinsurance Manager.

About the role

You will be responsible for assisting with the structuring of complex transactions, including pricing and modelling work and the technical review of legal documentation for reinsurance transactions. You will work with and developing internal models for pricing, regulatory capital, risk and general cash-flow modelling, including modelling based on the projection of mortality tables, in addition to supporting on the reinsurance tender process and assisting with analysis of reinsurance terms, transaction negotiations and re-insurer relationship management.

What you will need to succeed

You will ideally be a nearly/newly qualified actuary with experience of working within a de-risking role within consultancy or similar reinsurance/bulk annuities role within a reputable life insurance business. The ideal candidate will also have experience of cash-flow and/or financial modelling. Specific experience of modelling or pricing bulk annuity products would be an advantage.
