Hours - Full time - 37.5 hours per week

Working as part of a team producing high standards of work to support manufacturing in their fulfilment of our customer commitments

Key responsibilities:

Ensure production goods are inspected to Controls' defined standard. The Inspection is to include (but not limited to) verification against purchase order, certificate of conformity, first article inspection report (FAIR As9102), dimensional or other physical attributes

Ensure all non-conforming material is rejected and complete all rejection documentation

Maintaining the Inspection Product History records

Provide support to QA and Procurement to follow through quality issues to resolution

Raise and close (where appropriate) MRB cases

Booking in and verification of material and supporting documentation

To ensure material is transferred to and from the Material Review Board

Verify FAIRs to support development and new product activities

Final receipt of 'inspection passed' production material

Ensure all inspected production material is stored correctly and that the required standards of location control and lot/serial traceability are maintained

Support Product Inspection requirements

Work to client aerospace industry standard procedures

Ensure that all documentation is up-to-date and completed in accordance with company procedures

To actively contribute to improvement initiatives, and make recommendations where appropriate, to maintain high levels of control and efficiency

Identification and utilisation of appropriate inspection aids and techniques

To maintain the high quality standards that our customers expect

Ensure you plan and organise your daily tasks effectively

Occasional visits off site to our sub tiers to support /resolve quality issues

To be flexible across operations and undertake work in accordance with your skill set

Perform duties in accordance with company policies, procedures and processes

Experience & skills required:


Inspection experience in an electronics and/or mechanical environment

Ability to read & understand design drawings & specs

Able to operate / programme CMM machine (verify key dimensions)


Demonstrate strong attention to detail & produce high quality workGood communication skills both verbally and in writingExperience in managing their daily key activities to achieve timescales to qualityExperience of liaising with internal and external customersWorks effectively with othersProactively able to manage own work to in order to achieve objectivesUse own initiative within the scope of the rolePlans work and delivers on time and maintain departmental KPIsBooking in incoming material on IFS and process onto Inspection or StoresMakes timely decisions within the scope of the roleDemonstrates a "Can do" positive attitudeGood application of Microsoft packages and relevant software for the role
