A local authority currently requires a Data Migration Specialist for an initial 3 month contract based in SE London, paying up to £350 per day via Umbrella.Technical Skills: Oracle SQL and PL*SQL; XML formulation and output; XMLSpy or similar. Power BI experience also valued.Responsibilities Reporting into the Project Manager, the role is responsible for the successful end-to-end delivery of data migration in line with the Project Plan, including development and delivery of requirements gathering and analysis, QA and test phases; data risk management and all supporting documentation.The role will involve the technical analysis of the Legacy data; including the documentation of required Business Rules, Field Mappings and Transformation Rules. Prior involvement in a Data Migration test cycle is required. The role will also involve directing and co-ordinating a data cleansing and data improvement exercise designed to improve data quality before the final data migration exercise takes place.Experience Required Experience of managing and developing full life-cycle Data Migration projects.Local Council experience highly desirable Experience of planning and executing Data Migration Audits and analysis / investigation of their outcomes.Customer facing experience.Data Analysis or Data Warehousing type development experience.Experience of working in the public sector.

A structured approach to data migration, product delivery and inter-team communication.
