Job Title: Developer - DevOps / Cloud Native

Location: Hemel Hempstead

Salary: £65,000 per annum + excellent benefits and superb working environment

Job Type: Full Time, Permanent (37.5 hours per week)

Working Hours: 9.00am to 5.30pm Monday to Friday

This DevOps Engineer will be responsible for maintaining and optimizing a global infrastructure, improving operational efficiency and driving innovation. This is a fantastic opportunity to further advance your knowledge and career in Cloud Native with a development path towards a career as a Cloud Native Engineer (CNE) or Site Reliability Engineer (SRE).

Key aspects of this role include:

Experience with AWS to architect and operate highly available, secure production services.

Experience with containers (especially Docker), Kubernetes, Istio, AWS EKS & ECS.

Requires a knowledge of coding, coding techniques and demonstrable development experience in a chosen language.

Experience with Continuous Integration and Deployment tooling (CICD Pipeline, GitOps, Jenkins)

Experience with monitoring and observability tools (CloudWatch, Prometheus, Splunk, Envoy)

The Role:

They are growing rapidly and to support their success they are seeking an exceptional AWS focused DevOps Engineer to join their innovative and dynamic team. You will bring your passion and enthusiasm to work with a variety of their high-profile clients.

Key responsibilities:

You will be involved in the day to day operation of the company's globally distributed hybrid infrastructure (Physical & Cloud-based)

Development of strategies to maintain and enhance platform availability, operational efficiency and security posture

Architecture and deployment of new cloud infrastructure to support business needs

Develop and maintain Infrastructure as Code as well as the CICD Pipeline utilised by all DevOps

Research, evaluate and implement innovative technologies

Technical Skills and desirable:

Experience with HashiCorp tooling (Terraform, Vault)

Experience with configuration management frameworks and automation tools such as Puppet, Chef, Ansible.

Passion for the DevOps culture and principles.

Ability to work with API's (system/RPC, REST)

Experience with any RDBMS solutions (RDS, MySQL / PostgreSQL / Oracle)

Experience with Continuous Integration and Deployment tooling (CICD Pipeline, GitOps, Jenkins)

Experience with Scripting and Automation (Bash, Python)

Experience with Repositories (GIT / SVN)
