As part of this strategy, we are currently looking for Assocaite and Senior Associate Data Engineers to join our Artificial Intelligence (AI) team in London. We are looking for self-starters, quick learners, and technology enthusiasts who can develop and build on our current Artificial Intelligence and Data Science propositions. Through a dedicated team of AI experts we apply relevant expertise, deep industry knowledge and state-of-the-art resources to demystify the technology, harness its true value and give our clients and PwC colleagues trust and confidence. When combined with PwC's business and human insight, our teams create new and innovative solutions to solve clients biggest challenges and our own. We develop innovative, scalable, and data science driven solutions in combination with our Line of Service and Industry teams. T&I's AI specialists offer expertise and experience with natural language processing, machine learning, deep learning, data engineering, automated ML, digital twins, responsible AI, and more. The Role In the AI team you will join our data scientists and product owners in realising authentic, data-driven change and solutions across the lifecycle of our projects. The team reports to the board and commercial executive and works with senior leadership across our four business units to enhance performance and have an impact on value creation. Responsibilities Using Data Engineering to solve meaningful business problems internally and for our clients Contributing effective, useful code to our codebase Designing and building data pipelines to support data science projects Assessing and documenting multiple datasets before consolidation Participating in constant learning through training and skills development Essential skills Demonstrable experience in data intensive projects (professional, academic or personal), particularly where focused on a business need Delivery of solutions through the entire lifecycle from data sourcing to results Good understanding of data engineering, software engineering, or release engineering techniques Able to articulate complex data concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences Empathic listener and persuasive speaker Ability to work with product owners to translate requirements Experience of business analysis tasks and approaches We recognise that it takes a team to deliver AI and so we seek individuals with demonstrable skills in a selection of the below for a number of roles Strong programming experience in Python Experience of developing in cloud environments (Azure, GCP, AWS) Experience with SQL databases (Postgres, SQL Server, MySQL, Oracle) Experience with NoSQL databases (Elasticsearch, Cassandra, Neo4J) Experience of the Linux ecosystem and container technologies (Docker, Kubernetes) Software engineering experience (Git, Continuous Integration/Deployment, Software Testing) Knowledge of Information Security practices, especially in a Cloud environment Cloud fundamental or architect accreditations Experience with API development Experience working with big data technologies (Apache Spark, Apache Hadoop, Apache Drill, Presto, Redshift or similar) Programming experience in a JVM language (Java, Scala, Kotlin) Demonstrable experience in project management and leading teams A mature understanding of business operations Experience of coaching and developing other members of staff About PwC
