A well-established retail bank is looking for a Head of Data Science to deliver cutting-edge solutions and partner with business stakeholders in their Edinburgh office, acting as number 2 to the Analytics Director.Role & ResponsibilitiesLiaising with multiple business stakeholders to propose data-driven solutions and lead the development of these modelsEmbedding innovative practises in end-to-end data science projects and developments in technologyLead a team of 10 data scientistsSignificant role in mentoring and training junior members of the team Shaping the advanced analytics capabilities for the future as the business expands

Skills & QualificationsExtensive experience of embedding data science solutions in a commercial settingProficient in language programming such as Python and RInnovative approach to building data-led solutions using machine learning algorithmsSolid knowledge of using decision trees, Bayesian statistics, clustering, time-series modelling and other similar techniquesHands-on experience working on data science modelling within complex data sets and programming languagesBenefitsGenerous bonus of 45% dependant on performanceUp to 25% pension contribution
