Software Developer / Compiler Engineer Bristol to £55k

Software Developer / Compiler Engineer (C / C++ Java Compiler) *Remote Interview WFH*. Would you like to work on complex and interesting systems, collaborating to solve problems with technology that affect people's everyday lives? You could be joining an Open Source software provider and creating secure software solutions for use by software developers worldwide, continually learning and progressing your career.

As a Software Developer you will focus on compiler development; you'll design and implement new features, integrating your changes into the toolchain and documenting them with a focus on writing very concise memory / processor efficient software. You will monitor the quality of the complier and contribute to the long term planning and roadmap, collaborating with compiler experts to research and create prototypes to support the writing of technical white papers for the developer community. You'll be involved in all aspects of development and will be empowered to take ownership as part of a small highly technical team based in Bristol.

Requirements:

Strong software engineering experience with C, C++ and / or Java

Strong interest in the domain of compilation / programming language analysis and software code / programming languages with the desire and aptitude to learn more (ideally you have a university or personal project)

Good understanding of software engineering best practices

Collaborative with good communication skills, keen to learn a share ideas
