Platform Engineer - FTC - 6 Months - Edinburgh - Up to £42k pro rataReed Technology are looking for an experienced Platform Engineer to work within the Service Delivery team of one of our Edinburgh based clients.The Fixed Term Contract will likely run up until the end of 2020, with a pro-rata salary of up to £42,000. Working from home is expected for the foreseeable, although there may be requirements to be on site.This is a highly technical role and you MUST be able to demonstrate experience in the following areas. Maintaining overall stability, integrity and efficiency operation of Cisco UCS and Unix / Linux systems.System Administration Redhat, CentOs Operating SystemsCISCO Unified Computing SystemStorage platforms - NetAppThe creation, maintenance and adoption of relevant IT policies, processes and control frameworksInfrastructure automation / Scripting - preferably Puppet / Bash, PythonExcellent technical documentation, coaching and knowledge transfer skillsThe use of proactive monitoring tools, diagnostic and root cause analysis techniques If you are confident that you're the right person for this role, then please apply, or email your CV
