esure Group are seeking a Delivery Manager to join us in our Reigate office to support delivery of our medium and long term strategic objectives within the Claims Product Domain.About the team:
Claims have transitioned from a traditional Project delivery approach into a ‘Product' Domain. Our Claims business colleagues are imbedded within our wider Claims Product Domain as we strive to become one team. Our strategic partners are important and coordination between all parties is key. What you will be doing: Effectively manage Projects through the fully project delivery lifecycle You will be responsible for supporting, guiding and overseeing our Engineering and Delivery Squad's (on and off-shore), ensuring their effectiveness and success Engagement and collaboration with internal stakeholders up to and including the Executive team and with external suppliers Overseeing and responsible for Discovery phase of projects in conjunction with the Product Managers Play an active part in Delivery and Product Communities of Practice Ensure that all project deliverables/releases meet the needs of the business Responsible for Domain Governance and reporting to business and IT leadership e.g. Product progress/status reports Working and Steering Group packs Impediment tracking & resolution Burn down charts & other relevant metrics Full end to end RAID management Resource demand/capacity management Financial management, value assessment and realisation
What we are looking for: Extensive experience delivery and managing technical projects through their whole lifecycle Proven experience of building and supporting teams in an agile software engineering environment Proven experience of managing internal and external suppliers of all levels Full end to end software delivery experience including non-functional aspects and BAU Proven experience of all aspects of Governance controls Proven experience balancing multiple priorities and resolving ambiguity Used to working alongside scrum masters, product owners, software and QA engineers Proven experience in managing cross portfolio dependencies Proficient use of tools commonly used in an Agile environment e.g. JIRA, Confluence, Slack Desirable: Understanding a range of project management methodologies and how to integrate them Qualifications in agile (e.g. CSM) and/or project management (PMP, PRINCE2) Experience of automated integration and quality assurance testing
