Commercial Manager MCIPS (SC Cleared), Membership of Chartered Institute of Purchasing & Supply. Security Cleared, DV, Vetted, Data, Information, Procurement, Risk Management, Project Management, Manager, Prince2, Contract, Negotiate, Negotiating, Negotiation, Government,Our Central Government client based in London are recruiting for an SC Cleared Commercial Manager.To manage and lead a team of procurement and contract management specialists and manage a range of commercial activity in accordance with departmental and organisational targets.Day to day management and leadership of a portfolio of Commodities/ ProjectsDesign and apply the appropriate project structure and methodologies and set project controls.Manage the quality, secure handling and dissemination of data/information. Develop policy, reports, and procedures and manage data systems across business areas.Implementing effective sourcing strategies to support delivery of business strategies.Working closely with internal stakeholders and Category Managers to effectively manage the sourcing pipeline and inform future requirements.Delivering procurement activities including sourcing & contract management, in line with EU and UK procurement law Procurement policy.Engage effectively with the market to inform current or future procurement strategies.Manage issues relating to the performance and conduct of officers in line with Agency Values/policy.Manage, Mentor/coach and develop staff. Key Skills / ExperienceMCIPS (Membership of Chartered Institute of Purchasing & Supply) Level 6 or equivalent,Qualification or recognised accreditation in Project management (i.e. Prince 2 /MSP)Project management techniquesRisk management methodologiesAn in-depth knowledge and understanding of procurement law and public procurement regulationsExcellent interpersonal skills/stakeholder management skills.Information technology skills including proficiency in Microsoft Word and ExcelExcellent contract drafting and negotiation& influencing skillsHigh level of commercial acumenAbility to develop commercial/procurement strategies for high level and complex business casesTrack record in the delivery of cost savings or service level improvements.Proven experience of supervision or first line management.Experience of planning/project work and working to tight deadlines.Experienced in effective decision making.Experience of analysing information from a range of sources.Experience of managing strategic contracts/suppliers.Experience of dealing with dispute resolution and/or challenges in the award process.
