A growing company based in Belgium and working on CMOS Image Sensor design, currently have an opening for a Senior CAD Support Engineer. In this role you will be responsible for the setup, maintenance and support of the Analog IC Design environment. This includes CAD management, spanning (Cadence) EDA tools and foundry PDKs, the management of tool license usage and Linux system administration. You will be checking and deploying EDA tools and PDK updates, ensuring compatibility of new releases with existing and future design projects. You will be involved in user management, scripting, data management and administration of the Linux system and will be the first point of contact for local support related to the design environment. You will also align the local design environment setup in the with CAD engineers in other sites. You will have the opportunity to split the daily task within the design team to be involved in IC layout tasks, physical verification tasks for example. Previous experience is required as a CAD engineer in an Analog/Mixed Signal IC design environment, indirectly as IC design engineer or directly as CAD engineer. Extensive knowledge of the Cadence IC design environment and SKILL scripting is required as well as extensive knowledge of Linux system administration and scripting. You will be very organised and have a methodical working philosophy and be able to integrate and work easily in a small and dynamic team. Excellent communication skills in English is required. Experience in and related to image sensor design is an advantage but not a mandatory requirement for this position. This role offers the opportunity for occasional travel to Asia.
