Role: Network Designer

Location: Hemel Hempstead

Length: 6 Months

Rate: £400-£450 per day

Our client is looking for a Network Designer with the below skill set to join them for an inital 6 month period.

Key skills:

*Experience in the creation and execution of platform scale testing and validation plans ideally using formal methodologies (ITIL).

*Experience in the design/use of simple IP networks as might be used in the management of a large scale network platform

*Hands on experience with specific vendors' equipment, ideally including Alcactel-Lucent/Nokia, Juniper, Nortel.

*Experience in designing, building and providing third-line support for complex transport networks that are secure, scalable, and resilient and give high performance.

*Experience in the creation of both high level and low level design ideally using DWDM, SDH or Ethernet Technologies.

*Hands on experience in the use of a range L2/Transmission test equipment provided by vendors such as IXIA, EXFO, JDSU ,Anritsu

Due to the nature and urgency of this post, candidates holding or who have held high level security clearance in the past are most welcome to apply. Please note successful applicants will be required to be security cleared prior to appointment which can take up to a minimum 10 weeks.
