The Role
As data centres become ever more complex and the pressure to cut costs mounts, the creative mind of the architect is increasingly being called upon.
You will work within a team responsible for the delivery of Infrastructure solutions supporting secure Data Centres. You will own all aspects of the delivery of technical proposals, ensuring they are aligned to the client's vision
You willlead the definition of customers' overall IT architecture, designing solutions of significant size and complexity whilst also understanding of the customers' business and commercial issues.
You won't be designing solutions for new data centres, so the ability to produce innovative high and low level designs that can work around existing systems and solutions will be key.
Core Skills
Proven track record of leading the delivery of innovative technical solutions specifically within Data Centres.Significant involvement in the setting of and the driving though of new IT strategies and architecturesClient facing skills at a senior level with the ability to communicate ideas and thoughts to senior executivesA detailed knowledge of a range of Design Methodologies and their implementationProven track record of successfully managing 3parties and their technical obligations
Essential Technologies
You must have excellent knowledge with a variety of data centre and infrastructure technologies like;
Windows server 2016 including substantial Hyper-V virtual infrastructuresWindows Server 2016 active directory - including use of GPOs to secure the operating system and hosted productsWindows SQL Server 2016 - including high available always on clusteringNetApp storage managementVMWare VSphere v6.0.SCOM/SCCM design and configuration.Active Directory/DHCP services.
