Within the DDV team we have a highly specialised team of IT people who work only on M&A deals. We help clients to assess the IT implications of an M&A transaction.

We work in a fast-paced environment where IT is just one moving part among many others including financial, people, legal and operational workstreams. We are comfortable working with investment bankers, magic circle lawyers and C suite corporate clients - our typical IT contact is the CIO or CTO. PwC is the largest of the Big Four firms in M&A.
About the roleDDV focuses on providing support for potential/actual transactions and assists clients in all operational aspects of the transaction, pre and post completion, including Buy and sell side operational due diligenceSynergy development and reviewCarve out and divestment supportTaking control and 100 day planningMergers & acquisitions integrationPost acquisition performance improvementAs part of the transaction process, the DDV team develops a rapid understanding of the target/client business in order to quickly assimilate the key operational issues, synergies, risks and upsides around a transaction. We report our findings real time to our clients but, typically, we will also produce clear, written reports articulating our findings for any purchaser or vendor. We may then be involved in helping our clients with the post deal implementation, advising on synergies, cost reduction opportunities, implementation plans and programme management.Essential skills and experienceTo succeed in this role you will have Strong and relevant IT experience;Knowledge of deals, which might included M&A, synergy reviews and carve-outs,A good first degree and potentially an MBA or other relevant qualification;Good interpersonal skills and a demonstrable ability to quickly develop effective working relationships;Experience of developing networks of colleagues and contacts;Good verbal and written communications skills;Comfort and ability around report writing; andAn ambition and ability to move beyond IT into the world of M&A.The successful candidate will be a self-starter, able to work autonomously and operate on their own initiative. You will be required to work across a number of industry sectors on a variety of projects with colleagues at all levels. While primarily based in London, our M&A deal work is global in nature and you must be prepared to travel widely and frequently as and when required.
Who we’re looking forWe are looking for experienced IT people who have mastered their particular area of expertise and are now looking for something more challenging. Your basic IT basics must be solid, and typically will have been developed in a consulting firm or large corporate IT team.
