IT Support Specialist

Central London, Old Street tube

£25k - £35k DOE + benefits

Our client is a small, growing, well-funded IT service provider delivering IT support services to clients in predominately the construction and architectural community. They enjoy some strong client relationships.

An End User Support Specialist is needed to work on one of this company's client sites full-time based close to Old Street tube. Here you will supporting a user base of c. 60 as the sole on-site IT Support Analyst but will have back-up remote support too. Currently all the users are working from home. However you need to be working on site from day 1.

An individual with exemplary customer service skills is needed here. Our client is happy to consider experienced IT professionals or recent graduates with a good degree in either an IT, Science or Mathematical discipline.

Skills / Responsibilities:

*- Support users with technical issues including occasional out-of-hours

*- Equipment hardware/software installation and maintenance

*- Build custom gaming spec PCs

*- Install and set up new equipment e.g. PCs, monitors

*- Basic repairs of faulty equipment e.g. replacing faulty computer components

*- Troubleshoot issues to determine cause and resolution

*- Escalate issues where necessary to the advanced remote support team

*- User account management on Active Directory and other systems

*- Daily backup media rotation

Technical Environment:

*- Windows client/server environment (around 60 users)

*- Windows 10 desktops - mostly custom built gaming spec PCs

*- Windows 10 laptops - mostly Microsoft Surface Devices

*- Laptop docking setups - mostly Microsoft Surface docks

*- G Suite: Gmail, Drive, Docs etc.

*- Other clients on Office 365 for email, Office, OneDrive etc.

*- Microsoft Office 2016

*- 3D software: mainly 3ds Max + Vray / Corona; also some Revit, Lightwave, Modo, Rhino, Sketchup

*- Unreal game engine + Perforce version control

*- Adobe CS6 & CC: Photoshop, InDesign, Illustrator, Acrobat, Premiere

*- Sage and other accounting software

*- iPhones / iPads

*- Voip telephone system

*- Audio-visual meeting room equipment

This role may suit a graduate or an experienced IT Professional who has held the following roles: IT technician, End User Support Analyst, IT Support Engineer.
