Lead NOC Engineer Manchester to £60k

Lead NOC Engineer (Cloud AWS Linux TCP/IP) **Remote Process**. Global technology company is seeking a senior NOC Engineer to lead a team of NOC Engineers within a Cloud AWS environment.

As a Lead NOC Engineer you will ensure the platform is up, fast and reliable; focussing on 24/7 monitoring of performance and availability, as well as maintaining systems to ensure reliability. You'll pro-actively identify any potential issues and coordinate with other engineers and vendors to ensure problems are avoided or dealt with quickly and efficiently. As a senior member of the team you'll provide technical leadership and mentoring to more junior team members and assist the NOC Manager to allocate work.

This NOC Engineer presents an excellent opportunity to work with a modern tech stack, you'll be working with a range of tools and technologies and will be encouraged to learn and continually improve your skillset with opportunities to move into Systems Engineering or DevOps roles depending on your strengths and interests.

You'll be based in modern offices in Central Manchester with all the latest kit; the company is able to offer a remote interview and onboarding process during the current social distancing measures.

Requirements:

Experience in a NOC role within a 24/7 operational environment

Strong technical, analytical and troubleshooting skills

Excellent communication and collaboration skills, able to explain technical concepts

Good working knowledge of Linux operating systems and administration

Familiar with TCP/IP networking and application level protocols (e.g. HTTP request/response flow and REST APIs)

Ideally you will have knowledge of public cloud environments such as AWS, Azure or GCP and some experience with containerisation as well as container orchestration platforms like Kubernetes

Please note there is a 24x7x365 shift pattern
