Health Intelligence ManagerA local authority based in South East London currently requires an Health Intelligence Manager for an initial 3 month contract, paying up to £42.00 per hour via Umbrella.ResponsibilitiesTo influence at a strategic level, through the use of health and related intelligence, the transformation of Health and Social care services.To lead the on-going development and delivery of the Joint Strategic Needs Assessment and other Health Intelligence products to support the Local Authority, the Clinical Commissioning Group and other key public sector partners to describe the current and future health and wellbeing needs of the local population and identify priorities for action.To lead the development and implementation of information systems to integrate diverse multi-agency datasets that will maximize delivery of population health and wellbeing outcomes, including a performance monitoring and management framework for the delivery of the Health and Wellbeing Strategy.To gather data and evidence and convert it into intelligence to meet changing commissioning and operational needs.To undertake and oversee complex statistical and epidemiological analysis of datasets, comparative statistics and trends over time at national, regional borough, ward, neighbourhood and GP practice level.To summarise and communicate population health intelligence reports including those containing complex statistical analyses or contain contradictory findings, and explain such analyses and findings to specialist and non-specialist audiencesTo lead, plan and manage complex projects at a local level and input into or lead at a regional or national level on identified projects.To provide expert statistical and epidemiological advice.To provide specialist input into other public health teams and other directorates and organisations across the health and social care community.To present complex information to a variety of audiences.Experience RequiredA very good grasp of PH statistical and analytic methodsAn understanding of the context of public health within local government and the wider health economySubstantial knowledge of epidemiology, statistics and research Substantial knowledge of STAT/SPSS/SAS or other specialist statistical softwareThe ability to draft statistical reports and bulletins with added performance dataPrevious experience of working within a local authority within PHSubstantial knowledge of GIS systems and outputsThe ability to analyse, supervise and delegate to team membersSomeone that works without supervisionExtensive experience of working with multiple sets of health related data and information systemsIf you have the experience to carry out this role, then please do apply using your most up to date profile.
