The Role
You will be supporting government clients, working mission critical projects with secure networks. You will be providing 3rd line network support to two separate infrastructures.As well as including Project data centre build tasks and Service Transition tasks such as Due Diligence, design updates, creation of Work Instructions & Knowledge Articles.
You will be given the opportunity to cross train in SDN and Cloud Networking, putting you at the forefront of network innovation.
Responsibilties
Managing Network Support Incidents and Changes, and in addition, Project DC build Network tasks and Changes; there are a high number of Change requests for tenants on each environment. Some tenants are Live and some are starting to deploy and test on the platforms.Monitor network solution and remediate any issues found.Ensure the environment is maintained and patched.
Mandatory Skills Required:
- 3Line Support experience.
- CCNP Qualified or operating at a CCNP level.
- Strong routing experience; BGP, OSPF
- Experience administering Firewalls: Cisco ASA
- F5 Loadbalancing
- Experience in supporting a customer such as a Government customer in a locked down and secure environment.
- Experienced in producing Low Level designs and Support collateral (e.g. WIs and KAs).
Ideally with experience of the below technologies:
- CISCO ACI,
- Network Management; Solarwinds, SCOM,
- NTP,
- CISCO ISE, ASR & ISR Routers
- Firewalls and Encryption.
- SC Clearance or DV clearance
