Our client is a UK manufacturer of specialist hospital beds and the only independent provider of bed management services to the NHS, managing over 20% of the UK's acute bed and mattress fleet. They supply specialist products and services to over 150 hospitals in the UK and Ireland.
The organisation has established a strong reputation for the supply of a range of innovative products in the specialist beds and surfaces sector, both manufactured by themselves and also sourced via exclusive partnerships with manufacturers across Europe and the US.
Our client is now looking for a Service Technician to join them, providing a maintenance service predominantly in Norfolk and Norwich.

If you have a mechanical or electrical background and experience behind the wheel of a long wheel base van, this is a fantastic opportunity to build upon your experience, providing vital maintenance and installation functions for products that support patient's recovery.
Joining a dedicated team, you will provide caregivers the products and knowledge to enable them to assist patients in caregiving environments.

The Role
As a Service Technician, you will deliver an efficient and high-quality maintenance, repairs and field modification service, predominantly in Norfolk and Norwich.
You will clean, test and repair products ready for customers to use, delivering and installing them on site and providing demonstrations and basic training to caregivers.
Reporting to the Service Supervisor, you will:
- Keep an inventory of and order products and spare parts
- Ensure compliance with quality processes, both internal and external
- Collect dirty or failing products from the customers
- Record electrical safety testing on products
- Complete daily and weekly activity reports
- Take part in a 24/7 on-call rota
About You
To be considered as a Service Technician, you will need:
- A mechanical or electrical background
- A full, valid driving licence with confidence driving long wheel base vans
- Excellent customer service skills
- A proactive "can do" attitude with a flexible outlook
Ideally, you will have experience within a hospital or caregiving environment, but this is not essential. An electrical safety testing qualification certificate would also be an advantage.
