Senior SQL Server DBA / DevOps Engineer sought by a Markets-focused FinTech business backed by one of the biggest names in Wealth Management. My client is a leading FinTech business, currently operating in Stealth Mode, whose Trading Platform is written in C#/SQL Server running on Linux in AWS. They are looking for an additional senior SQL Server DBA team member with an interest and expertise in automation and DevOps, ideally to include experience of AWS, Azure or Google Cloud. This a highly varied DBA/Engineering role spanning Database Strategy including hardware and storage design; capacity planning and security policies; installation, upgrades and migrations; and collaborating with developers in relation to SQL optimisation, database design and DevOps strategy. RequirementsTrack-record in managing a large SQL Server estate, plus ideally exposure to Sybase ASE.Automation using one or more of C#, PowerShell, Python on Linux shell scripting.Expertise in T-SQL and database design and engineering.SQL Server Disaster Recovery and High-Availability (HA) Technology.Relevant Certifications i.e. Microsoft Certified Master and Architect: Microsoft SQL Server, highly desirable.Exposure to Linux, Docker, AWS, Azure and/or GCP preferred.Exposure to CI/CD, Configuration Management (Ansible, Chef, Puppet) preferred.Track-record in FinTech or in a leading, Hedge Fund, Market Maker or Propietary Trading firm preferred.Excellent communication skills and able to work with Developers and Financial Engineers.
