Commutable from Bristol, Bath, Swindon and the surrounding areas the Principle Power Electronics Design Engineer will be responsible for the design and development of innovative Power Electronics technology for the automotive, RF, Digital and Space sectors. The Principle Power Electronics Design Engineer will work within a team, and their primary responsibility will be to design; high power SMPS’s (DC-DC, AC-DC), Inverters (DC-AC) and use IGBT’s, MOSFET’s and GaN. Other responsibilities will also include assessing power conversion topologies, writing technical reports and interaction with other engineering teams. The ideal candidate will be educated to a degree level in Electrical or Electronic Engineering and have a demonstrable background in Power Electronics, Motor Control and Inverter design. Other desirable skills include:Practical exposure to IGBT design.SMPS design.Design of feedback/gate drive circuits.In return, you will be rewarded with a competitive package and work closely with industry leading engineers.
