.Net Lead Architect / Tech Lead

We are assisting our client to identify a .Net Lead Architect to join in the headquarters based in Qatar.

Note, due to the current Covid-19 situation our client will likely look to onboard people on a remote contract basis initially with the view to then flying out to Qatar once travel restrictions are lifted. Our client does ultimately want to hire permanent staff, so eventually these position will transition to permanent.

The original permanent budget is noted below, obviously this will be tax free and would also include associated benefits; so, contract rates will be higher to take these aspects into consideration.

QAR 35 - 40 K/month + benefits

The .Net Lead Architect will thrive in a fast-paced continuous delivery engineering environment. He/she understands the challenges of modern software development, importance of testing and quality, and believes in data-driven decision making all while inspiring the team. The ideal candidate has a proven track record of working with engineering, product management and senior leaders to introduce and embed a world-class product development and architecture in the organization.

Please note:

Lead Technical architect would be handling a team of developers, it is essential for you to be hands on in the development as well. Technical test will be given as part of the shortlisting process.

Skills / Environment

* Excellent programming skills in at least 2 modern programming languages/ frameworks, such as Node.JS, Go Lang, Elixir, Ruby on Rails, C, C++, Python, Java (Spring and/or Spring Boot), .Net or others.

* Excellent knowledge of SQL/Key-value/document databases (Postgres, MySQL, MongoDB, Cassandra, CouchDB, HBase, Neo4J, Redis, Memcache)

* Excellent working knowledge of HTML/ CSS, and a modern frontend JavaScript framework, such as ReactJS, AngularJS, EmberJS, Vue.js

* Deep comprehension of cloud infrastructure (public, private and hybrid) and how to leverage it in a complex, enterprise environment (AWS, GCP, Azure, OpenShift)

* Hands on experience with API driven development, Microservices patterns, Containers , immutable infrastructure, blue green deploys (Apigee, Docker, Vagrant, Puppet, Chef, Kubernetes)

* Strong knowledge on software development methodologies like Agile/Scrum, Kanban etc. (PSM, CSM, PSPO)

* Broad understanding of enterprise project lifecycle (PRINCE2, ITIL)

* Extremely data driven and able to drive analytics insights to make decisions

* Enterprise architecture experience is a bonus (TOGAF or similar)

* Very familiar with cyber security standards and implementation (ISO27001, PCI DSS)

Responsibilities:

* Provide direct day-to-day architectural and technology problem-solving, coaching, direction and guidance to product teams in a start-up like environment under Agile guidelines

* Promote and maintain engineering best practices such as test driven development and continuous integration and delivery

* Evaluate and identify appropriate technology stacks and platforms, including web application frameworks and cloud providers

* Maintain up-to-date knowledge of technology standards, industry trends, emerging technologies, and software development best practices by attending relevant conferences, reading widely and being active in tech communities

* Partner with wider organization to ensure compliance, regulatory and audit and architecture requirements are met

* Coach technical leads and providing ad-hoc problem solving support, including hands-on pairing when needed

* Collaborate with and support technical leads to ensure high quality code across the teams

* Facilitate and deliver training and knowledge sharing sessions for engineers
