Data Developer / Engineer (Python SQL NoSQL C++ Unix Linux Finance). Industry-leading FinTech is seeking a detail-oriented Data Engineer to take ownership of mission-critical data processes and exciting projects.

As a Data Developer you'll play a key role in a global team that combines deep expertise in trading, cutting edge technology and operations and scientific research to deliver high-quality, uncorrelated returns for their prestigious client base.

You'll join the highly accomplished team in the dedicated Data Science and Engineering sector of the business, where you'll have the chance to work on cutting edge systems, using diverse technologies like Python, C++ and SQL to get the job done. As a Data Developer you'll have the opportunity to partner with the investment community to obtain new datasets, define and synthesise features of interest and productise the full pipeline from dataset acquisition to deployment of predictive modelling processes.

This Data Developer role is an ideal opportunity for someone looking to make an impact in a global organisation. Your work will strongly contribute to the overall operational effort, as you'll take ownership of processing unstructured data into a suitable form for analysis, as well as monitoring performance and advising and necessary infrastructure changes.

Requirements:

You're degree educated in Computer Science, Engineering or similar subject

You have advanced experience with data mining applications (finance-related beneficial)

You have strong Python and C++ coding skills

You have experience with SQL and NoSQL technologies

You have experience developing / scripting / debugging on Unix / Linux OS

You're a process-minded critical thinker who enjoys solving complex data problems

You're a resourceful self-starter and positive team player who enjoys working collaboratively

As a Data Developer, you'll earn a highly competitive salary (to £120k) plus a comprehensive benefits package.
